Colors Clock

Colors Clock, made of acrylic on wood and paper of varying thicknesses, operates on a 24-hour quartz mechanism: its movement follows the Earth's rotation around its axis, a journey that completes itself every 24 hours.

This unique piece, designed by Alex Pinna, represents an experimental approach to the concept of time, measured no longer with numbers, but with light and shades of color, in a warmer, more tangible experience of time. The shape and color of the clock are inspired by popular 1970s TV series like "UFO Shadow," in which a fascination with space and the future shaped objects into abstract, semi-robotic, and futuristic forms.
