Cartodendro Ring

This piece is conceptually inspired by Dendrometria, the discipline that measures and estimates the quantitative parameters of trees and records their biometric measurements. Here, however, the author ironically articulates its meaning by referencing to his favorite material, the paper, thus becoming Cartodendrometrìa.

Cartodendro Ring is a coffee table characterized by a shape evocative of the tree stumps and a polychrome inlay top composed of cardboard strips painted and hand-engraved with a vortex effect. The outer volume is modeled and shaped by hand from a black cellulose paste.
